An Introduction to Diamond Excellence

At the heart of every extraordinary diamond lies a balance of four essential qualities—Carat, Cut, Colour, and Clarity—known collectively as the 4Cs. These internationally recognised standards are used to assess the beauty, rarity, and value of a diamond. At our atelier, we carefully select each stone to ensure it meets the highest standards across all four Cs.

Carat – The Weight of Rarity

Carat measures the weight of a diamond, with one carat equal to 0.2 grams. While larger diamonds are rare and often more valuable, carat alone does not define beauty. A well-cut diamond of modest carat weight can radiate more brilliance than a heavier stone with a poor cut.
For multi-stone pieces, we refer to Total Carat Weight (TCW)—the combined weight of all diamonds in the jewellery.

Cut – The Sparkle of Perfection

The cut of a diamond determines how it interacts with light—its brilliance, fire, and scintillation. This is not about the
shape (such as round or oval), but the precision and artistry with which
the diamond is crafted. A masterfully cut diamond will reflect light beautifully, creating a captivating sparkle that defines luxury.

Colour – The Purity of Hue

Diamonds are graded on a colour scale from D (colourless) to Z (light yellow or brown). The closer a diamond is to colourless, the rarer and more valuable it becomes. Our collections favour diamonds in the D–F range, selected for their exceptional purity and luminous brilliance.

Clarity – The Art of Flawlessness

Clarity refers to the natural inclusions or blemishes found within a diamond. These internal features are graded from Flawless (FL) to Included (I). While most inclusions are microscopic and do
not affect a diamond’s beauty to the naked eye, we meticulously choose stones that balance clarity with brilliance and structure, ensuring each piece
reflects perfection.
